Photography

Models, actors and talents will provide AatCaP with recent photographs every two years or, when there has been a noticeable change in physical appearance in comparison to the previous photographs. This is to avoid complaints from the clients. 

Photographs must be taken by a professional photographer.
AatCaP models, actors and talents may have their profile suspended when photographs are not updated or when there is a complaint from the client. 

N.B.: Smart phone photographs and “selfies” are not acceptable. AatCaP may ask you for your latest “selfies” to compare if your appearance has changed from the previous photographs.

Postings

Models, actors and talents will assume that they do not have permission to post work photographs on social media that reveals the client or copyright material. Models, actors and talents must first get permission from the client and then from AatCaP who will confirm the client’s permission before any postings on any social media. This is to avoid any possibility of copyright infringement and/or legal proceedings against models, actors and talents, or AatCaP management.

Guarantee and Payment

Payment of guarantee for work done will be made at the end of the third month.

To explain the payment schedule in Japan;

1.       AatCaP issue the bills the client at the end of the month in which the work is done.
2.       In the second month, the client sends payment to AatCaP  at the end of the month.
3.       At the end of the third month, AatCaP pays the models, actors and talents.
This is usually the case, but in rare occasions, payment may be made in the fourth month.

N.B.: Please do not talk about guarantees with other models, actors and talents from Aatcap and from other agencies. Models, actors and talents are paid according to the requirements of the client based on their role and time worked, the number of advertisements, the period of usage the client use a movie and still, there is the restriction that you can/can’t work at the same kinds of companies, your level of skill and career etc.

Calculation of Guarantee

Models, actors and talents are paid according to the requirements of the client based on their role, time worked, the number of advertisements, the period of usage that the client uses a movie and/or still.  There may also be a  “restriction” meaning that you can’t work at the same kinds of companies.

N.B.: AatCaP gets jobs directly through advertisement agencies, casting companies and clients. (However, there are times when several companies are involved in a job, therefore the guarantee will be cheaper.)

Banking, Taxes and Bank Charges

AatCaP does not make cash payments. Models, actors and talents must have an active bank account into which payments are made. Please inform AatCaP of your banking information. If you close or change bank accounts, inform AatCaP immediately

Your guarantee is a gross amount which will have tax deducted at the rate of 10.21%.

After tax is deducted, the net guarantee payment will be made into your bank account.

Models, actors and talent will also be responsible for bank fees which will be deduced from the net payment.

Banking is done through “SBI (Sumishin SBI Net Bank) Internet Banking”. If you have the same account, bank fees are 50 yen per transaction.

To any other financial institutions, if the payment is under 29,999 yen, the bank fee will be 160 yen. If the payment is over 30,000 yen, the bank fee will be 250 yen.

Transportation

Transportation will be paid if it is stated in the email for the jobs. Depending on the clients, transport will be paid separately to the guarantee or it will be included in the guarantee. Transportation will be paid from your nearest train station or bus stop, to the nearest train station or bus station the client’s work. If it is necessary to take a taxi, you are obligated to obtain a receipt from the taxi driver in order to get a refund for your expenses. Any receipts must be forwarded to AatCaP management as soon as possible. Any refunds will be paid at the same time with your guarantee.

Accommodation, food and beverage

Accommodation will be provided by the client when overnight work is necessary and will be confirmed by email. Some meals may be provided when stated in the email. Unless otherwise stated in the initial email, models, actors and talents are responsible for providing their own accommodation, food and beverage.

In the situation where models, actors and talents are responsible for providing their own food and beverage, but there are no facilities to buy them, please contact AatCaP as soon as possible. AatCaP will then contact the client to make arrangement to make food and beverage available.

If you have a reason that will affect you on the job because of restriction due to times and dates, or because you are a vegetarian, or according to your religious belief or other conditions, please inform AatCaP management when you apply for a job.

Receipts

If any purchases are to be made on behalf of AatCaP with the consent of AatCaP, all receipt must be obtained and forwarded to AatCaP management as soon as possible.

Auditions

Models, actors and talents are obligated to attend auditions if they have stated that they are available. Models, actors and talents will assume that attendance to auditions is not paid and transport to auditions is also not paid unless otherwise stated in the initial email.

Job and audition Preference (i.e. 1^st , 2^nd 3^rd etc. , NG)

When applying for work or auditions that has a few possible dates, please advise AatCaP of your preferences.

For example;

1^st  means that you are available for this date. When you choose your 1^st you cannot change or cancel your appointment. The date is fixed.

2^nd (etc.) means that it is possible for you to make this job or audition, but you are not sure at the moment, and AatCaP will check on your availability if your 1^st is unavailable.

NG means that this date is “NOT GOOD” and that you not available at all on this date.

Example;   1^st , July 15　/   2^nd , July 16　/　NG, July 17

N.B.: If you applied for an audition or job which didn’t mention the dates that you have not heard anything from AatCaP after 4 weeks, please release your schedule. If there are the dates, you must not release your schedule until getting the selection results by yourself.

Sickness and absenteeism

If models, actors and talents have accepted an audition and/or work and are sick or will be absent, you must contact AatCaP management immediately.  If you are asked to obtain a "Shindansho" (doctor’s certificate), you must send it to AatCaP as quick as possible.

Accepting work

AatCaP will email clients’ jobs to models, actors and talents who will then decide if they will or will not apply for the job. If you are not interested in the job, you can ignore the job and not reply. If you are interested in the job, then you must keep the day(s) free so that you can do the job if you are selected for it. If you have applied for a job with AatCaP, you cannot apply for the same job from a different agency.  If you have applied for a job from a different agency, you can not apply for the same job with AatCaP. Also, you cannot apply for two jobs that have the shooting on the same day from different agencies.

If there are any restriction like vegetarian, according to your religion and other conditions which you can/can’t do please inform AatCaP management when you apply for a job.

N.B.: You just remove the job information after 4 weeks since you apply if there is no certain days of audition and shooting.

N.B.:  If the period of usage is “FREE” or “Bought Out” means that they use the matters of advertisement are used for good. There is usually the limit of usage of advertisement. The unit of 3 months is Japanese called “1 kuuru”, for examples, “2 kuuru” means 6 months and “4 kuuru” means 1 year.

N.B.: At the request of the client, AatCaP will require actors, models and talents to state if they have previously done similar advertising work or worked for the same company or client. This will be written in the job email that is sent to you. If there is a restriction by the client, you cannot apply for the job.

Clothing

Models, actors and talents will be asked at the request of the client to bring their own clothing and makeup for the shooting. However, sometimes your clothing may not be used because the client has clothes already prepared for you. Your clothes and makeup are necessary as backup and in case of emergency.

Models, actors and talents are responsible for the laundry of their clothes. If any loss or damage is caused to your clothing while on the job, please contact AatCaP management as soon as possible with your details.

Behavior

Models, actors and talents are expected behave and communicate and follow the directions of the client in a polite and professional manner at all times. Bad behavior and language must be avoided at all times. Dress code must be neat and casual, with no exposed tattoo or excessive piercings.

If there are any comments or issues that arise during a shooting, the models, actors and talents must contact Aatcap management as soon as possible. AatCaP management will attend to the issue. Models, actors and talents must never communicate negatively with the client.

Alcohol, Smoking, Medication or substances

Models, actors and talents must refrain from drinking and smoking during work time. Models, actors and talents may be liable for damage caused by cigarettes or the effects of alcohol. When on work time, please ask the person responsible if smoking is allowed. Do not smoke without asking permission first. Models, actors and talents must not be under the effect and influence of alcohol (or any other substance) when on work time. If you are taking medication which may affect your performance, please do not apply for the job.

Holidays and Resigning

　If models, actors and talents are going on extended holidays or absence within Japan, or wish to unregister from
　AatCaP, they should call or email AatCaP management about their situation.

Models, actors and talent contact information

Models, actors and talents will provide relevant contact information at their registration interview. However, when there is a change of address, change of home and mobile telephone numbers, change of PC email and mobile email addresses, please contact AatCaP as soon as possible. In this situation, please provide your old and new information.

Body Measurements Form (PDF)

Providing a “Body Measurements Form” to AatCaP management is preferable to help clients when providing models, actors and talents with proper sized costumes, formal attire and other dress requirements. AatCaP management will provide the form via email after your registration interview. Completion and return of the form within 20 working days would be greatly appreciated. If you have not completed a form, please contact AatCaP.  It is the models, actors and talents responsibility to provide a new up to date form if measurements have changed.

Experience

When applying for work at AatCap, please state your previous experience. To be considered for work, a model, actor or talent must provide a resume of proven work history. You must have proven work experience and ability to act, model and to display your talent.

N.B.: Work will be delegate according to your skill and experience.

Registration Fee

You cannot register without a professionally photographed portfolio.
There is no registration fee when you provide a professionally photographed portfolio at the time of registration. There is a registration fee if you have little or no skill or experience in acting, modeling and as a talent. AatCaP is only looking for long term professionally minded applicants with a proper residency or working visa.

At the time of registration with AatCaP, you must provide AatCaP with proof of your visa or a photocopy your visa, and you must also show your "Alien Registration Card".

Spouse, Working Holiday, Student, Professor, Entertainment and Dependence visa are also acceptable.
